Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Trading Metrics, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this cookies & tracking policy. Our platform is for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Cookie & Tracking Technologies Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Trading Metrics (“we”, “our”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and platform. It helps you understand what we collect, why we use it, and how you can control it. This page supplements our Privacy Policy.

Where the law requires consent (for example the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Brazil and Quebec), we set only essential cookies until you click Accept on our banner. Elsewhere, analytics and advertising measurement are on by default and you can turn them off at any time. Our live chat widget remains blocked until you accept the provider’s rules in the chat popup.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They support core functionality, improve performance, and provide analytics so we can make improvements. Similar technologies (like localStorage) may be used for the same purposes.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential Cookies — Required for the basic operation of our platform (authentication/session, security, core features). These are always active because the site won’t work properly without them.
  • Analytics Cookies — We use Google Analytics to understand site usage and improve the product.
  • Advertising Cookies — Google Ads and X (Twitter) tags measure which of our ads lead to sign-ups and let us show our ads again to people who visited our site (remarketing).
  • Referral Cookie — Remembers the referral code from a partner link so the partner is credited when you sign up.
  • Live Chat Cookies — Our live chat provider may use its own cookies or local storage. Tracking remains blocked until you agree to the provider’s terms inside the chat popup.
  • Payment Cookies — When you top up your wallet, our payment processor (NowPayments) may set necessary cookies to complete secure transactions. These are set only when you initiate the payment flow.

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how our Services are used. Where consent is required, GA4 sets no cookies until you accept.

What GA4 may collect (when enabled)

  • App/site interactions (pages, sessions, events)
  • Approximate location (country/region)
  • Device & browser type, OS, referrer/UTM
  • Performance metrics (load times, errors)

Our GA4 controls

  • IP addresses: GA4 does not log or store IP addresses for EU users and provides regional processing.
  • Advertising features: GA4 works together with Google Ads for conversion measurement and remarketing, under the same consent rules as our other advertising cookies.
  • Data retention: events retained for up to 14 months.

You can also use Google’s opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by trusted third parties (Google Analytics, Google Ads, X, our live chat provider, and our payment processor). Those parties control their own cookies and processing. Their use is governed by their respective privacy and cookie policies.

Data Protection & Privacy

We handle any personal data collected via cookies in accordance with applicable laws, including the EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and the California CCPA/CPRA. For more on how we process personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

How to Manage or Opt Out

Click Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of any page to accept or decline at any time, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. You can also clear cookies in your browser, block them entirely or set site exceptions. Keep in mind that removing essential cookies may impact core functionality (e.g., staying signed in).

For Analytics specifically, you may also use Google’s opt-out add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page indicates the latest version.
